Small 5-petal Flower Applique Pattern

This is the pattern for a small, 5-petal flower applique.

Using a magic ring, ch 1.
*1sc in ring, ch1, 1 dc, ch1, 1 sc.**  repeat from * to ** 4 more times.  Sl into ring, pull ring closed, fasten off.  (make sure your tail is long enough for sewing, and tuck it into the ring, so it comes out behind the flower when you close the ring.)
